Steps to becoming independent in order to leave a ruin and stressful relationship

Everyone has a rocking relationship here and there but there those relationships that come where one side is not making the other side happy so, what does that sad side do in order to free themselves if they are stuck in a position of finance, living and, etc?

If it makes anything better we'll use a scenario so one can better understand on what to do.

Sage is in a life draining relationship with her boyfriend Max because Max is not helping with anything when it comes to the care of the house, he never bothers to do anything fun, and he is spending her money but, using his on himself.

Sage wonders what she can do with herself for she has a A.A in Criminal Justice and a M.S in Nursing.  She works at a healthcare facility making $30 and hour so, she is the bread winner in the relationship between her and Max.  Sage has decided that she is going to leave Max but there are problems that she is facing, one they share a phone plan together, two they share a bank account together ( Stupid Mistake), three everything that she has in her name Max is currently using.  Now what does Sage do in order to leave Max and move on with her life?

Step One- Search for a new place to live but, do not move in right away because then your partner or lover will find out that you are trying to leave and may do something so they can keep you with them.  Make sure to determine how much pay off of your monthly income now for Sage she can do anywhere from $790-$900 in rent.  Sage looks for potential places but lets them know she will be looking the more you look the better of your chances of getting a place in your budget range.

Step two- Make sure what is in your name only and not in the names of both of you.  Sage unfortunately has a cell phone plan and a bank account with Max which should never be done.  Sage needs a phone so in case she decides to get rid of Max she still has communication with the outside world so, she finds a phone with a prepaid plan or pay as you go plan.

***Tip***

When buying a second cell phone make sure it's a refurbished or basic phone so, you can use it in case you cannot pay the bill on you primary cell phone.

Back to step two,  Now that Sage has went cell phone shopping and has a refurbished cell phone the next step is to get her finances in order.   Now since she shares a bank account with Max she is going to need to open another, Sage goes to two to three banks and opens up accounts with them.

First one she gives them her paycheck of $1,362.50 and the same for the second one but, for her third one she gives them double because that is the only which will not be likely used.  Sage will however put in $100 to $200 a month so that third one will not be dormant for a long period of time.  Now the account she shares with Max she takes her name off of after taking at least half of the money.

*Optional*

If you do open another bank account be sure to open a credit union account to at one or two. Now if you are going to be like Sage opening three bank accounts and two credit union accounts that's great and not illegal.

***Tip***
After you do open the new accounts be sure not to use the cards for them around your partner or lover because they are going to question why you have these new accounts and, may do something to change your mind about leaving them.

Step Three

Start a Budget!  This is a great way of getting back on your feet because if you don't then you gateway to freedom will not come sooner.

This Budget does provide a decent example but does not mean you have to match to exact.

Now Sage sees that she can make it on her own without the help of Max so, what could Max do when the time comes when Sage is gone well start fending for himself.

Step Five

Now that the budget is set in place and hidden from the unappreciative lover then it comes time to find out who is going to keep the car.  Now if you have your own car this step can be skipped but, if you don't follow this step carefully.

If you own the car then take your lover off the insurance so when they do take the car and get caught speeding they can be arrested for stealing or you can call the police and state that your car has been stolen.

Now if you do not have a car don't worry find a bus schedule and buy at the most a six month rolling pass until you save up but, if you have the money on hand and the finances do not buy a brand new car start off small.

Step Six

When you are ready to leave you lover and, you know that you have relations that are going to call then do this, change your phone number and tell everyone except the friends and associates of your lover.  Also if anyone deal with the both of you then don't give it to them.

Final step

Leave if you are ready to leave and be on your own the do it because your lover will never know what hit them. As for Sage she is with another and is happier than ever.
